Cheneau is a classic Roman typeface, it was drawn by me letter by letter in Fontographer, and not constructed out of mix and match parts. Included in the file are a few non-standard characters, particularly the f ligatures which I cannot see doing without. It is a type 1 Postscript font with only minimal bitmap fonts included, it has worked fine with system 6 and all versions of ATM up to version 3. I haven't tried anything else.
This is an experimental (or Beta) version of the font, and I would be especially happy to hear from any one who trys it out. Of course I would be encouraged to finish it and to fine tune it if you would also send along a shareware fee of $15. For any one who does send this fee Iwould keep you informed of the final release of the typeface. (And of course credit this shareware fee to any future costs, which would probably only exceed it by what was needed to cover the cost of disks, shipping etc.)
